Gottlieb Quickdraw backglass restoration

When the customers showed up with his glass, initially we were thinking, “why does he want to re-do this glass?” But after looking at the back of this Gottlieb Quick Draw, it was pretty obvious why (2 player version of Fast Draw). The original water based red inks used for the transparent parts were badly flaked, and then someone got creative, and botched the whole glass. The pictures below tell the story best…

The front doesn’t look so bad…

So we scanned and edited the backglass much like we do any other. The back mask layer was a bit challenging though.

But the back, well, there’s the problem!

Overall we’re pretty happy with how his glass turned out. Good results can often occur, even from prior botched repair work.
